Where we began
Vissensa began life in a pub, built on a bold idea and a shoestring budget. By 2008, we’d secured space at Equinix’s LD4 datacentre and launched our cloud service well ahead of the mainstream. Early investment in Microsoft and Sun Microsystems’ “Thin Client” tech helped shape our desktop services, and our UK-based Help Desk opened soon after. By 2011, we’d added Equinix LD5 and won major contracts, including our first international FinTech client.
Expanding Business
Hybrid models, new markets, and a growing global presence defined this chapter of our story. We connected international customers, delivered key infrastructure projects in Higher Education, and became the first-ever anchor tenant at Cody Park. Expansion into our fourth data centre followed, and so did a Linux-based mainframe project and an apprenticeship programme to nurture future talent.
Relocation
After relocating our HQ to the New Forest, we broadened out our SME offering and revamped the Vissensa brand. We launched local IT services and supported Microsoft 365 migrations, as well as adopted Azure to strengthen our cloud stack. Our response to the pandemic included new products, remote support tools, and community resources, which earned us global MSP recognition.
Going global
New datacentres in Singapore and Washington DC brought our global total to six. We launched cybersecurity services, supported new sectors, and deepened our not-for-profit partnerships. Growth across warehousing, healthcare, and defence was matched by exciting new internal hires laser-focused on automation, AI, and SaaS optimisation.
